Is your website focused on your target audience?
Revisiting my topic from last week on “It’s not your website…it’s you”. (If you haven’t read that article yet, read it before continuing)
I thought this may be helpful for those who are trying to understand their Target Audience (TA).
When showing up in your brand it is important for your TA to understand if your brand is representative of them. Like I mentioned last week, a lot of you all have designed a website with content you like and it doesn’t have anything to do with your audience.
𝘿𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙩𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝘿𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙨 𝙫𝙨 𝙋𝙨𝙮𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙨?
Let’s start off with what is Demographics? 𝘿𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙨 tell you who your audience is and basically describes the statistical data such as the individual’s age, gender, etc.
Whereas 𝙋𝙨𝙮𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙨 tell you why and describes the particular individual’s personality, motivations, etc.
If you all only accounted for your ideal client’s demographics you are really doing your brand/business a disservice because you do not know what makes them tick. Now, remember Ari? Ari was the no-makeup novice that wants to start wearing makeup.
Question to ask yourself: How can I market my products to Ari knowing her psychographics?
Now that I’ve given you the framework, tell me about your ideal audience below!
